The Department of Dermatology and Skin Science at UBC is home to one of Canada’s foremost training centres for dermatology.

Undergraduate Medical Education
The dermatology training for all UBC medical students forms one of their core competencies as they train to be tomorrow’s doctors: – 2nd year MEDD 421, 3rd year MEDD 431, and optional Electives.

Postgraduate Resident Training
Our 5 year resident training program has full accreditation by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Continuing Medical Education
Special events throughout the year comprise our Continuing Medical Education (CME).

Graduate Student Program
Advanced positions are also available for individuals seeking a PhD and a career in dermatology research.

Fellowships
Our Fellowships program is for post-resident trainees pursuing further clinical or research training in their specialty.
