CIHR establishes Skin Research Training Centre in Vancouver.

The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) has provided a $1.8 million grant over six years to establish a national Skin Research Training Centre based at the University of British Columbia Department of Dermatology and Skin Science. The mission of the centre is to increase the capacity within Canada for basic and clinical research of skin disorders. Funding comes from the Institute of Musculoskeletal Health and Arthritis which has primary responsibiltiy within CIHR for skin health research.
