In the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia is Canada's first and only academic dermatology department: The Department of Dermatology & Skin Science.
Through the main treatment facility of The Skin Care Centre we accommodate over 80,000 patient visits each year, with our faculty providing front-line care to patients with skin problems ranging from common to unusual and complicated.
Our faculty members have world-class standing in their fields and provide the most extensive Undergraduate medical dermatology teaching and the broadest range of Postgraduate training opportunities in Canada.
Five focused laboratories conducting advanced research in: Skin Cancer, Photonics, Hair, Immunodermatology, and Molecular Medicine, each of which output numerous Publications and Reports.
