Group educational events run by the Department of Dermatology and Skin Science include:

  • Weekly Dermatology Case Rounds – Thursdays at noon: patients with challenging and/or illustrative skin problems are presented and discussed in a conference. This is a collaborative environment where care and treatment issues are discussed, teaching points are made. Patients benefit from the practical advice they receive; students benefit from being involved in complicated and illustrative cases, and learn from critical thinking and the thought process behind why certain therapies are recommended or not recommended. The rounds are specifically for residents in the dermatology program, and faculty who are involved in CME (Continuing Medical Education) and the Royal College Maintenance of Certification program.
