Vancouver, B.C. - May 29, 2010 - At its annual spring meeting, the BC Dermatology Society awarded Dr. Marian Akrigg the Practitioner of the Year. Dr. Akrigg was cited for her many years of dedicated service to rural and remote communities throughout British Columbia including Terrace, Fort St. John, Quesnel, and Cranbrook. Dr. Akrigg’s primary dermatologic practice is in Vancouver. She is currently a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Dermatology and Skin Science, and participates in teaching dermatology to undergraduate medical students at UBC.
